Did you know...

freckles get darker in the summer? The sun has been rearing it's pretty face every day here in SF and now my freckles are also sprouting shades darker on my face. Coincidence? I think not. xo ann

And it's also no coincidence that there are various articles sprinkled throughout the web, as we prepare to embark on our month long tour US and UK for our album release. I'll keep posting stuff as I hear of them.

Magnetic Fields Cover Song

How I love the Magnetic Fields. We recently did a cover of Abigail Belle of Kilronan and you can download the tune for free on this lovely blog:

Steve Lamacq's 6 Music Playlist

We've been nominated to be on Steve Lamacq's 6 Music Playlist in the UK. If
you could just go to this link below and click on the “vote for
LoveLikeFire” link for our song “Boredom” it will automatically direct
an e-mail to Steve Lamacq and help us get one step closer to making it
into his rotation. Voting ends this Sunday, that would be
Saturday U.S. time though. There are only two other bands so every vote will really count!

New Music Video

Our new music video premiers today. We shot it in England at the New Forest, a beautiful magical place with a bordering magical village. The director was an 18 year old whiz kid, he reminded me of Max Fisher from Rushmore mainly because he was a dreamer. He knew how to run a big ship of cast and crew and worked round the clock over 20 hours a day to make this video happen. Thanks Jacob, and thanks to all the crew that volunteered their time to make this possible.

It's on Myspace UK, check it out: Boredom.

Help.

We've found ourselves slowly and surely headed toward the same predicament that many bands face, no money honey. And yet people are freely sharing our album before it's release, two years in the making, relentless time and money later. Our label has set up a donation box for us on their website, and if you have a few dollars to spare, please purchase something or plain just give to the cause. We may not be starving children in Ethiopia, but we're hungry dreamers with lots to say and more future music to share and we need your help to do it. Please help. XO
